How to choose a fiddle How to choose a banjo Looking to Purchase an Instrument? |

At www.LearnBluegrass.com, we have the perfect CDs for every beginner. In fact, we specialize in beginners. Every song is explained and played in detail, then played at several different speeds so that you can follow along. Each lesson builds on the previous lessons, and you will find our versions will get you going right from the beginning. And when we say slow, we mean SLOW! This is the #1 complaint heard from people who buy audio instructional materials (especially banjo).
Chris Talley Armstrong is the instructor and musician on these CDs. She has been teaching publicly and privately for more than 20 years. She has taught in the private school system (choir, band and music courses), in music stores, privately in her home, and also public workshops. She has won numerous banjo and fiddle contests, including the ITCMA Illinois State Championship on both fiddle and banjo. She is the leader of the band The Chris Talley Trio, winners in 2003, 2004 & 2005 at the ITCMA Bluegrass Band Competition.
We've added a new video to our Free Banjo Information page. It is a video clip
showing the four most popular banjo rolls. Click here to view the
video. Please note, this is 2 MB in size, so if you don't have a high speed internet connection, you
might be waiting for a while...
